Salary Range: $113,422 - $178,000/year
The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.
Position Overview:
The ED Nurse Educator provides direction and role modeling for Emergency Department nursing staff. Utilizes evidence-based practice information to achieve desired patient outcomes. Works collaboratively with management, staff, and physician leadership, to enhance the quality, safety, and cost effectiveness of patient care. Works collaboratively with the Education Department in the development and evaluation of programs to continuously improve nursing practice. Assists staff in the advancement of critical thinking and judgement skills. Supports and facilitates the nurses in developing new skills, develop their careers, and incorporate evidence into practice. Effective in communication and education for all generational levels employed in the Emergency Department.
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current PALS Certification
Preferred:
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
- Knowledge of STEMI protocols
- Previous educator coordination experience
- 3 years' Emergency Department experience
