Our Business Banking global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the Small and Medium Business market particularly focus on innovation and technology firms. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking Team of Relationship Managers provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help businesses reach their potential. The Business Banking Team Coach is a remote position responsible for managing customers within the relationship management segment with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. The role has a dedicated customer portfolio and will interact with customers primarily via zoom, phone and email. This role will also be responsible for leading and coaching individuals within the team who manage a similar portfolio, this will include developing new skills in others, shadow client conversations, giving construction feedback and guidance on how best to support and grow our client base.

As the Business Banking Team Coach, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of remote bankers, dedicated to managing the Technology portfolio of clients
  • Promote long term, sustainable growth and returns for Business Banking by identifying value in and growing customers, and transitioning coverage in line with customer profile and needs
  • Ensure the portfolio is focused on strategically aligned clients, including identification and management of customers outside of HSBC's strike zone
  • Develop and drive understanding of, and engagement with, clients, through continuous portfolio reviews and consistent client outreach
  • Drive outbound revenue for the team through a focus on international clients and championing business collaboration with counterparts across other HSBC regions
  • Foster close alignment and engagement with key internal teams and stakeholders including the Corporate GRMs, Innovation Banking and International Subsidiary Banking
  • Support a digitally-aligned culture, empowering customers to manage their businesses efficiently and seamlessly
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality tracking and governance of team KPIs and performance
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved
  • Foster a culture of connectivity, community and collaboration and drive initiatives to promote diversity & inclusivity and learning and development amongst the team Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $150,000.00 and $190,000.00.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

Youll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Strong coverage background, with excellent relationship management and influencing skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
  • Organized, analytical and operationally strong with ability to successfully manage a P&L
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and ability to develop high effective working relationships
  • Solid knowledge of HSBC group, network and products, and strong knowledge of Commercial Banking
  • Experience of driving strategic change in a matrix environment
  • Broad knowledge of regulations impacting the business and the lending and credit approval process
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with colleagues
  • Minimum of 5-6 years' relevant banking experience preferably with Business Banking or Commercial Banking clients
  • Natural curiosity and experience supporting technology fast growth businesses
