In this role, you will have a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient functioning of hospital operations and the provision of safe, effective patient care.

These responsibilities include:

  • Assessing issues related to the provision of patient care, patient and employee safety, and patient or family dissatisfaction, planning appropriate actions to resolve those issues and collaborating with other members of the Medical Center leadership/executive team
  • In the absence of senior leadership, you will initiate interventions based on your assessment and determines which unusual problems/ incidents (i.e. disaster management, sentinel events, breach of policy) should be referred to the designated Department Director or Administrator on call
  • In the event of a disaster, in the absence of senior leadership you will evaluates the disaster as it develops and assume the incident commander role and initial responsibility for the response until such time as senior leaders are available
  • You will coordinate clinical and nursing resources to optimize efficient patient flow supporting throughput initiatives for safe patient placement within UCLA Health System

*Will work at both Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center locations



Salary range: $105,200.00-$250,600.00 Annual

Qualifications

Required:

  • California RN license
  • BSN or MSN degree
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Skill in coaching and assisting staff
  • Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, sentinel events, and ability to problem solve
  • 5 years of acute hospital nursing experience

Preferred:

  • Prior ICU Nursing experience
