External candidates hired into the Polysomnography Technologist classification (Job Code 009091/2) as of 2/20/2024 to 7/31/24 are eligible for a $5,000.00 sign-on bonus. Payment terms will be $2500.00 paid to active employee on or about first pay period following hire and the second payment of $2500.00 will be paid to active employee upon completion of 6 months of employment.
Position will be filled as a Polysomonography Technician 009092 or Senior level 009091.
Senior level requires 3+ years of direct patient care experience in Sleep Disorders, 2 or more years experience as an RPSGT, registration through BRPT and the Medical Board of California as a Polysomnographic Technologist
Position Summary:
The Sleep Technologist performs a variety of sleep studies to diagnose the type and extent of disorders. The Sleep Technologist works closely with patients to diagnose and determine therapy for patients with a variety of disorders related to sleep. Technologists record and score sleep data and prepare raw data for physician and/or research interpretation.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $32.25 Midpoint $37.40 Maximum $42.55
Required Qualifications:
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
BLS Required
RPSGT eligible
Computer skills appropriate to the job
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience as a sleep technologist
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Bachelor's Degree in related field
