Job Description

In-Line Press Operator- 5pm to 5am, 12-hour shiftCreate value at TC Transcontinental.At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.

We are currently looking for a full-time In-Line Press Operator to support production at our Ontario, California site. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, In-line Press operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.

In this role you will:

  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude that reflects the company's commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Operates machine to Quality standards, production targets and waste targets.

  • Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance.

  • Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member.

  • Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.

  • Provides feedback to the shift lead and supervisor on equipment or production issues.

  • Provides support to Quality and Maintenance to increase machine uptime, productivity, and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the work center.

Qualifications you must have:Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
Standards Of Performance
  • Meets production targets (% performance to production plan)
  • Meets quality targets (number of complaints)
  • Meets waste targets (waste %)
Professional designation, technical certification, or professional cards None

Is mandatory - specify Forklift CertificationKnowledge

  • Basic machine functions
  • Reading, writing, and arithmetic
  • 2+ years, preferred of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and understand production orders and quality specifications.

  • Ability to read and understand measurements (ruler)

  • Basic understanding on PC (generate labels, report production)

Professional competencies

  • Ability to read and understand tape measures.

  • Ability to distinguish between colors.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Soft skills

  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.

  • Attention to Detail

  • Organizational Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in team environment.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is consistently standing and walking, reaching with arms and hands, and talking or hearing, with occasional climbing, stooping, or kneeling. Manufacturing work environment may be loud, with varying temperatures. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. but also encouraged to team lift, as necessary.
