Scope:

  • The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible to assist in performing Quality Systems activities in various areas of the facility. This positionis responsible for working with outside vendors, external customers, and internal customers (engineering, operations, and management) to resolve quality issues. Participate in cross-functional team improvement activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual outsourced calibration program.
  • Responsible for coordinating, testing, and reporting customer required 3rd party testing
  • Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols and standard test methods.
  • Interpret test results, compare them to the specifications, and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data.
  • Understands basic corrective/preventive action concepts (8D, 3x5 Why).
  • Review quality data and non-conformances. Provide dispositions and work with the affected parties on corrective action and implementation.
  • Collect data and present findings to management.
  • Perform internal audits for compliance with AS9100, MIL-PRF-31032, and NADCAP.
  • Maintain the quality document system. This includes reviewing, posting, and updating the relevant control program. Submitting training to appropriate personnel. Collecting and retaining training records.
  • Communicate and log customer issues. This includes email communication and use of web-based and excel-based systems.
  • Create and log Quality Alerts based on the needs of the company.
  • Follow-up on items coming due in various system outlines; including but not limited to: customer complaints, corrective actions, audits, calibration, etc.
  • Continuous improvement capabilities are a plus (Zero Defect, Gauge R&R, etc.)
  • Identifying possible areas for improvement within the processes.
  • All other assigned duties as required within the quality organization.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Analytical abilities with good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English-verbal & written, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; willingness to be part of a team as well as the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Confident intrapersonal skills; ability to understand and ask for help, as well as a willingness to grow and expand knowledge base.
  • Ability to lead a team when necessary and document team progress.
  • Good priority management skills.
  • Ability to sit/stand up to 8 hours a day.
  • Occasional travel to vendor or customer sites by means of the company.
  • Work up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week and is flexible to work weekends if necessary.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Education and Experience:

  • AS, Engineering Science or equivalent combination of education and experience, or 2-4 years technical work experience in electronics manufacturing/engineering or related field.
  • One to three years of quality experience
  • Experience working with quality management systems
  • Knowledge of quality standards: AS9100, MIL-PRF-31032, NADCAP.

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$46,331 - $73,233

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
