STATUS: Exempt, regular full-time
DEPT/LOCATION: Banking Services - Ventura, CA

Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility: Responsible for the growth and profitability of the banking center. Direct and manage a branch services team to ensure exceptional client satisfaction and retention, compliance with all applicable operational policies and procedures, and performance alignment with assigned targets and objectives.


Essential Functions: With or without reasonable accommodation must be able to perform all essential job functions as described below.

  • Lead and manage the selection, training, development and performance of the banking center team with a focus on operational efficiency, job knowledge, performance proficiency, client service and compliance.
    • Conduct periodic evaluations of staffing assignments to ensure efficient coverage for client and operational requirements.
    • Ensure appropriate assessment and training activities are implemented to promote continuous development and career progression.
  • Establish and reinforce communication and monitoring protocols to ensure the prompt and accurate execution of branch operations activities in compliance with established policies, procedures and processes. Conduct routine assessments to identify deficiencies and areas of risk. Implement appropriate solutions.
  • Implement and monitor activities that support the Bank's objective to provide an exceptional client experience. Provide guidance to subordinate staff to promote independent judgment and prompt resolutions. Research and facilitate the resolution of escalated client service or transaction issues.
  • Implement appropriate processes to encourage and support the achievement of assigned branch goals and targets for growth and profitability. Monitor and document sales activities to determine if established performance thresholds are being met. Provide training and coaching, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other Bank officers to sell/refer Bank products and services, appropriate to the needs and interests of the client.
  • Provide direct support to clients who need assistance with banking services. May include "teller" transactions, opening a new account, or applying for a loan.
  • Attend community and bank functions to meet business development, training and administrative requirements. Participate in activities and events that help to promote the Bank and provide opportunities for new business relationships. Identify and participate in events that support the Bank's mission to provide education and services to all communities in our service area, as required by CRA.

  • Effective organizational and administrative skills.
  • Effective math skills, including percentages, interest and amortization.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain required licenses, registrations or certifications.
  • Computer proficiency, including internet browsers and Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions independently, under minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency at speaking, reading and writing English.

Experience and/or Education:

  • Two years of recent branch banking experience in a senior level position.
  • Five years of direct experience in a commercial bank, preferred.

Travel/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel to client and business event locations (driving requires continuous possession of a valid driver's license and the minimum level of auto insurance).


Excellent benefits package for eligible employees and their families. Competitive salary BOE in the range of $76,000 - $108,000 Annually.
