Position Summary:
As a part of the Campus Blood Donor Center, recruits campus groups, individuals, (including students, staff and faculty) to provide blood products for UC Irvine Medical Center patients. Recruits donors by telephone, email, and in person on campus and in the community in order to meet established goals. Provide exemplary customer service to all internal as well as external donors and clients. Represent the donor center at special events; make presentations to clubs, organizations and classrooms; create and distribute flyers, posters and other provided marketing materials. Educate students about the importance of blood and platelet donation. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $16.00 Midpoint $21.00 Maximum $26.00
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Comfort and ability to make brief presentations in front of both small and large groups.
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with blood drives or blood donation process
Second or third year undergraduate student
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
