Position Summary:
MannKind Corporation is currently seeking a Field based Sr. Manager Sales Training. This position is an instrumental lead for MannKind sales and sales leadership training curriculum and delivery that is innovative, results-oriented, and best-in-class. This role provides strategic direction, curriculum development, vendor management, and facilitation of programs and presentation of materials. This role works closely and collaboratively with various internal cross-functional teams, sales leadership teams, marketing, market access, hub services and vendor partners, etc. to proactively identify training needs for the Sales team through needs assessments, implementation of a continuum of programs from initial to advanced skill levels based on MannKind Values and Behaviors; Territory Business Manager competencies, completion of ongoing assessments, and continuously improving upon training materials and processes.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for developing and updating learning & development/training content and workshops, including backgrounders, FAQs and annotated guides associated with promoting and supporting brand strategies and goals
  • Facilitates learning sessions for newly hired team members and tenured team members and helps assess the individual results and overall effectiveness of the delivered training
  • Conducts frequent 1:1 training with sales representatives in the field to reinforce learning and development
  • Conducts additional virtual field training for Sales Force as required to reinforce learning and development
  • Responsible for the training and utilization of the field trainers nominated by the sales leadership
  • Conducts a needs analysis to inform focused learning experiences and training content as well as the development of innovative facilitation methods
  • Actively engages emerging talent to build people development pipelines within the Sales team
  • Ensures all training resources are properly maintained and approved via the Promotional Review Committee
  • Routinely communicates and collaborates with internal stakeholders to support learning experiences
  • Develops, measures, analyzes, and reports on the overall effectiveness of the training curriculum via surveys, stakeholder meetings, internal interviews, and field rides and adapt training program for continued improvement
  • Completes written documentation and administrative follow up related to field coaching efforts
  • Works with district business managers/sales head to manage and track training outcomes and trainee's performance
  • Manages and optimizes digital platforms that are used for training
  • Ensures all programs are designed, developed, and executed against brand strategies
  • Manage the communication, coordination, and execution of training activities, face-to-face or virtually, individually or in a group setting
  • Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines, and remains compliant and adheres to all MannKind policies and procedures
  • Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the work listed above and may include other assignments as necessary
Education and Experience Qualifications:
  • Requires a minimum of 11 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's degree or Masters in Business Administration
  • Training experience preferred in pharmaceutical or biotech organization
  • Diabetes Therapeutic experience preferred.
  • Prior experience within a Sales and/or Marketing Function of a Pharmaceutical or Biotech Organization preferred
  • Strong leadership, management planning, organizing, and execution skills
  • Knowledge and experience with training platforms and software
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication (oral and written), facilitation, and administrative management skills
  • Innovative, creative and detail-oriented
  • Thorough knowledge of the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
  • Leadership, Teamwork, and Team Building are essential
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and ideas with peers and with management
  • Ability to organize and lead meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization
  • Effective communicator
  • Must be able and willing to work diligently in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment with changing timelines and priorities
  • Excellent presentation skills a must
  • Up to 30-40% Travel required

Pay Range: $124,000 - $186,000 per year
