Job Description

DEA is seeking a junior Landscape Designer for our Ontario, CA or Portland, OR office to provide full-time support for our Land Development Business Unit. Join our multidisciplinary, fun, and collaborative group providing integrated design solutions and innovation to meet our Client's diverse needs and expectations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design and production work associated with corridor master plans, parks, trails, streetscape/ downtown revitalization, erosion control, plan checking, in addition to a range of transportation projects including bridge and structure aesthetics.
  • Development of graphic presentations of proposed design concepts, project exhibits for digital presentation, and photo simulations.
  • Team participation in planning, design and construction drawing packages, and development of cost estimates and project budgets.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, graduate degree, and/or certificate in Landscape Architecture
  • 0-3 years of work experience
  • AutoCAD, MicroStation & Photoshop skills (MicroStation training available if needed)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency - with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Skill with SketchUp, In Design, Lumion, Revit, Microsoft Project, Land FX, and hand graphics
  • Effective written, verbal, and graphic communication skills

  • Hybrid Schedule: In Office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote days are typically Mondays and working Fridays
  • Anticipated salary range: $27 - $33 / hr. based on experience
