The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for establishing and improving the pricing and cost estimation processes for services provided by the Certara Drug Development Solutions (CDDS) business unit. The Senior Pricing Analyst is expected to build novel pricing analytics models to inform pricing and enable strategic decision-making across the Commercial organization. The role is well-suited for an individual with a passion for pricing and data analytics, a desire to support the broader Commercial team, and engage directly with subject matter experts. This position will be a critical member of the Commercial Team and will report directly to the Director of Commercial Operations.

• Assess, evaluate and consider pricing structures and price points across the entire services portfolio and for new service packages and offerings
• Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report historical pricing data across all services within the CDDS business unit
• Support and maintain ongoing customer-specific pricing models and rate cards
• Clearly articulate the profitability/risk in various pricing scenarios for CDDS senior management
• Develop, evaluate, and implement pricing strategies and models based upon current business and market dynamics involving other market players
• Research competitive pricing trends and market pricing intelligence to inform recommendations on pricing strategies
• Develop in-depth knowledge of products and services across the organization
• Vet, manage, and implement pricing software, as needed
• Partner with subject matter experts to review pricing assumptions and revise pricing tools as needed
• Support development for pricing strategies and best pricing practices related to project scoping, including rate card analysis and updates
• Support the Commercial team by performing ad-hoc analysis around commercial and project-performance related activities
• Prepare pricing reports for CDDS senior management, as needed
• Present findings of pricing analysis and recommendation to the CDDS leadership team, as needed
• Maintain the pricing tools across the Commercial team
• Assist the Commercial team with review of statements of work, if requested, to ensure the proposed pricing aligns with overall pricing strategy
• Prepare budgets related to statements of work, on an as-needed basis

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics or accounting
• 5 to 7 years or more relevant work experience in pricing
• Advanced level skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis
• Ability to independently analyze and synthesize data from a broad range of disciplines
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent project management skills and can consistently achieve multiple tasks and goals on-time amid shifting priorities
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build peer relationships and effective teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pricing structures, analytics, and pricing practices in the pharma/biotech industry is highly desirable
