LinQuest is seeking a Ground Segment Systems Engineer to join our team onsite in El Segundo, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance with a CI/poly is required

The Ground Segment Systems Engineer will support to the US Space Force (USSF) in developing, deploying, and sustaining a National Security Space system within the Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) system program office. This position is located inEl Segundo, CA where the system is developed and managed.

The position requires you having an in-depth experience with DoD program acquisition processes and documentation. You will interact and coordinate daily with numerous stakeholders (Program Managers, Contracting Officers, System Engineers, and external/partner organizations). The successful candidate will have excellent communication and team skills.

Position Summary

  • Support various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessments
  • Manage ground segment technical and interface requirements. Manage interface negotiation with external stakeholders. Oversee requirements and interface verification
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Support development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes, epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development efforts
  • Support the development and refinement of acquisition strategies as well as identifying program execution issues and provide recommendations when possible

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant discipline and 5 years or more of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, and government acquisitions of Space Systems within the Space Control mission area
  • Software Systems Engineering, Design, and Architecture Development
  • Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable)
  • Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination

    Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $125,000 to $150,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
