Clinical Supervisor (Inglewood Adult Services)

We are offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for new staff hired into this role full-time. Candidates must apply on/after 2/1/24 in order to be considered for the bonus. This position is partially remote, and you have the option to elect into a 9/80 flex work schedule. The pay range for this role is between $80,300 - $89,200 annually.

Summary

Under the direction of the Program Director, you will manage the clinical integrity of the assigned program and provide clinical supervision to therapists and case management staff. You'll work in a variety of settings, including outpatient and field-based locations (clients' homes, schools, etc.) and in an office. In this role, you will be expected to:

Primary Duties

  • Act as designated clinical lead, overseeing clinical efficiency and fidelity to the evidence-based practice (EBP) model.
  • Provide case assignment and track client progress.
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision for up to 8 employees.
  • Guide staff and interns in the development of their work plans, their assigned duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority; consult with staff on problems relative to clients.
  • Ensure client documentation is accurate and submitted within the established timeframe; this will include coaching staff on how to document notes, perform assessments and complete documentation correctly.
  • Develop and implement clinical trainings and support for EBP practices at their site.
  • Partner with Research Assistants to ensure that client outcomes are completed as required.
  • Monitor and measure client progress against treatment plans and stated goals as it applies to mental health documentation.
  • Work closely with QI department to support documentation compliance.
  • Monitor the flow of cases on supervisees' caseloads to ensure a balanced approach to intakes and discharges.
  • Form a highly effective clinical team to accomplish the program's short and long-term goals.
  • Develop higher levels of expertise in staff members by encouraging further education, participate in seminars and providing learning opportunities within the program.
  • Attend and participate in, lead and/or facilitate routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the program, division, or Agency.
  • May participate as lead clinician in 51/50 client holds.
  • Interface with related community agencies, attend DMH meetings as scheduled and/or needed.

Position Requirements

  • Licensed for at least 2 years as a LCSW, MFT, PsyD, PhD
  • 4 years of experience working with individuals and families with a history of mental illness and/or substance use in a social service/mental health environment.
  • 2 years of experience providing clinical supervision and monitoring performance.
  • Completed a supervision course that meets BBS or BOP standards.
  • Current LPS certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire, to perform psychiatric holds.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.
  • California Driver's License and proof of insurance
  • Bilingual (if applicable to position)
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office as well as electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Current knowledge to coordinate treatment planning and case management for assigned clients.
  • Some programs/divisions require working knowledge of evidence-based practices, co-occurring disorders and/or the recovery model of treatment.
  • The ability to learn and apply Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, policies and documentation guidelines, and county, state and federal regulations relating to service programs for clients with mental illness and/or substance use.
  • The ability to utilize analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective business and therapeutic decisions.
  • Experience in clinics contracted with DMH is a plus.
  • You must be able to successfully pass our pre-employment screening, including a background check and live scan fingerprinting.
