Essential Duties:
This position reports to the Program Security Manager and is located in Malibu, CA. HRL seeks a Facility Security Officer who offers experience across multiple security disciplines. In this role, you will manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), ensuring the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) are implemented to prevent unauthorized disclosure of protected information.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Administer security for all collateral programs
*Study and implement all applicable federal and contract security requirements
*Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
*Prepare manuals and standard operating procedures
*Conduct security education classes and security audits
*Conducts investigations of non-compliance issues and security violations
*Manage collateral classified inventories
*Develop and administer security education
*Coordinate and/or conduct classified courier movements
*Oversight of Controlled Unclassified Information
*Provide leadership and mentorship

Required Skills:
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Ability to plan, schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives. High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively through written and verbal means.
Minimum of four years working full time as a Facility Security Officer for a possessing facility. Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or security is required. Experience using NISS, DISS, and SIMS databases.
Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities. In depth knowledge of the NISPOM, ICDs and applicable DoD Directives required. DCSA CDSE SFPC/SPSC or NCMS ISP certification(s) strongly desired. Completion of SCIF/SAPF course within 2 years is desired.

Required Education:
High School diploma with 8+ years related experience. Bachelor's degree with 6+ years related experience. Master's degree with 4+ years related experience.

Special Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen. Must have a current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph. Current active Top Secret clearance/SCI with polygraph is desired.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits.
