Job Description

Alcon is looking for a Product Security Integration Manager to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. This position is responsible for integrating product security processes, practices and deliverables into Alcon commercial product(s) through collaboration with the R&D staff in achieving business and product security objectives. The Alcon products include medical digital solutions, software in medical devices, software and hardware products that support medical devices.

The Manager is knowledgeable in key aspects of Alcon product, software development, product security processes, agile methods, and overall project execution and management.

We are looking for passionate individuals who enjoy working within a cross-functional Global R&D product development environment and have experience in managing and executing integrated product security deliverables from pre-market to post-market. In addition, this role includes leading product security incident response and related efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate product security deliverables and practices into the portfolio of global Alcon products

  • Manage and track product security deliverables for various Alcon products

  • Act as a product incident response manager and lead Alcon coordination and response to product security incidents/vulnerabilities

  • Lead and support life cycle management (LCM), change management, escalations and post-production security activities for commercialized marketed products

  • Support internal quality audits related to product security processes and procedures

  • Collaborate with Alcon portfolio/project management team and support execution of security deliverables including preparation of Product Security management plan and tracking of the deliverables etc.

  • Manage global product security program including identifying, tracking, and monitoring security backlog items including internal and external requests

  • Manage and support strategic partners and vendors to support product security initiatives including contracts, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring of security activities

  • Support and contribute to product security governance management including product security operations, metrics, security reporting, tracking SLAs

  • Building capabilities, tools, and help automate where possible driving improvements to Alcon product security process and practices

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience in program integration, security management, and leading complex products/projects, a basic understanding of software development and security development life cycle

  • Knowledge of and experience in leading complex products, services, and solutions especially security and related technologies

  • Experience with technical project management 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with global teams

  • Working portfolio/project management knowledge in software/application or product development or agile methods or relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in a regulatory environment.

  • Experience in the delivery of a system integration strategy, process and execution plans.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop structured integration frameworks and playbooks to ensure consistency and quality of the product security deliverables

  • Thinks about creative ways to apply integration program management best practices to enable teams to operate more efficiently.
