Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable HVAC technician that maintains, and repairs heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

Essential Functions
•    Oversee day to day monitoring of HVAC/R equipment
•    Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment.
•    Apply local HVAC codes in a practical manner on each job.
•    Provide technical support within the organization
•    Layout, design, and install low-voltage wiring.
•    Run after-hours calls as required
•    PLC Control knowledge is a plus
•    Experience in R-22, 134A, 404A, 507, and 448A refrigerant
•    Knowledge in Pump Down System, Recovery, Reprocessing and Re-charging
•    Ready to respond, “On Call” Emergency Calls and On Call Schedule
•    Knows how to weld copper and stainless steel
•    Routinely worked overtime, weekends, and holidays
•    Knowledge in CMMS or BAS type of HVAC computer system
•    Possess basic HVAC and refrigeration tools
•    Other duties may be assigned.
 
Skills and Qualifications
•    At least 1-2 yrs. experience in Commercial Refrigeration 
•    High School Diploma
•    EPA Certificate – Type I, II, III or Universal
•    Read blueprints and Electrical Schematic diagram
•    PLC Control knowledge is a plus
•    Understand how the entire heating and air-conditioning systems function
•    Evaluate job-related safety hazards
•    Use all types of tools
•    Graduate of HVAC/R at least associate degree
•    Basic plumbing job skill
•    Knows how to use Multi Meter, Tester, Manifold Gauge and Ammeter
•    Valid Driver’s CA License and good communication skills

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift heavy equipment
Must have hand and eye coordination.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stand for long periods of time; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.
Flexibility with weekdays, evenings and weekend required.
