Brief Description
Responsible for growth and client management of assigned accounts globally, using an advanced level of sales skill, industry knowledge and business acumen to build an effective account strategy, expand web of influence, build key client relationships, recognize client needs and opportunities, and drive service excellence, resulting in profitable sales growth. The successful candidate will be responsible to have corporate responsibility for customer's supply chain needs. This ranges from day to day supply to large capital project strategic sales planning. Responsibility scope will include customer engagement at site(s) and headquarters, WESCO branches, EPCs + associated contractors. This position will have domestic and global responsibilities.
Detailed Description

* Serves as primary point of contact for assigned national account clients.

* Designs and executes professional sales strategy utilizing in-depth knowledge of client and industry.

* Identifies and makes value-focused contact with key client contacts.

* Builds strong client relationships and establishes trust with key client contacts to increase sales of existing verticals, and growth into new product and service offerings.

* Accepts responsibility for and oversees resolution of client problems promptly and effectively according to standard problem resolution protocols.

* Demonstrates customer value by serving clients as business consultant and trusted advisor.

* Maintains an accurate accounting of national account data according to standards set by management.

* Responsible for monitoring and maintaining high level market expertise and knowledge, including competitor products, services and delivery models.

* Coordinates and implements customer strategy with stakeholders, branch sales, operations, pricing, and business development.

* Participates on LEAN value creation team or other teams as needed.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

Global Account Management / Executive Sales experience - 3 years required; 5 years preferred.

Heavy industrial sales experience - petrochem required; 3 years preferred.

International sales experience would be a strong asset.

Must possess one or more of the following to be considered: Electrical material sales experience, petrochem end-user sales experience, or industrial distributor sales experience.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors' Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.

Strong computer and time management skills.

Demonstrate teamwork, leadership and flexibility.

Working Environment:

* General Office - Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

* Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

mental requirements:

* Employee required to analyze and interpret complex data.

* Employee required to problem-solve.

* Employee required to communicate with the public.
