Job Title: Maintenance Sales/ Business Developer

General Summary

The Business Developer will focus their efforts on identifying clients that have not entered into a maintenance service agreement. This position develops relationships with existing or new clients to inform each about Mesa's preventative and full responsibility offerings with the goal of selling each an appropriate maintenance contract. Business Developer's will be assigned to Maintenance Sales personnel and preform site visits to gather information related to equipment or projects, completion of bid temps, proposals, project delivery binders and customer support.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Agreement and alignment with EMCOR Mesa's written philosophy of sales, established processes, and procedures related to sales.
  • Develop and or complete written scopes of work related to maintenance being quoted by Maintenance Sales Team member(s).
  • Complete site visit to gather information required to quote maintenance.
  • Communicate with vendors as needed to gather costs for services needed to complete the maintenance being quoted.
  • Interact with Departments within Mesa as needed in relationship to tasks assigned (Service Department, Dispatch, Applied, etc.
  • Assist with identification of maintenance opportunities in work in that team member's pipeline.
  • Assist with preparation of booking packages for maintenance sold by the sales person.
  • Review maintenance cancelation list. Call all contracts canceled 12 months or longer with the intent of gaining opportunity to propose new maintenance agreement.
  • Review existing contract base with intent of discovering additional maintenance opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to your growth and development as a Sales Professional, including attendance at product and sales training events, participation at all professional training provided by EMCOR/Mesa, etc.
  • Achieve your written, annual sales plans

Job Specifications

* Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' field experience in HVAC or building automation.
* 2+ years general product sales experience preferred
* Valid driver's license required
* Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at extended heights
* Strong customer presentation skills and a demonstrated sales aptitude.
* Financial acumen, inclusive of cost modeling for sales proposals.
* Computer skills using MS Office required. Strong Excel skills are required.
* Ability to determine solutions for customers.
