Job Description
Crissair is looking for an entry level Product Identification Clerk to join our production team!

Summary
Assumes responsibility for all types of product identification including laser, chemical etching, ink stamping, vibro-etch, and metal stamp impressions.  Responsible for creating and maintaining computer graphics within the laser part marking software systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
•    Teaches and leads other employees in the department.
•    Researches customer marking specifications as required.
•    Applies sequential serial numbers and bar codes as required.  
•    Creates and maintains excel files to track serial numbers.
•    Backs up computer files as necessary.
•    Recognizes and implements special type fonts and sizes as required.  Loads fonts into operating system.
•    Enters labor data in the ERP system.
•    Maintains a clean, organized work area.
•    Identifies and requests required fixtures.
•    Makes sketches and suggestions for new fixtures, and coordinates with Manufacturing Engineering to request them.
•    Reviews blueprint files.
•    Inventories and requests department supplies.
•    Seeks and documents lean opportunities in the department.
•    Keeps up-to-date on newest laser marking technology.
•    Ability to read and understand blueprints.


Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
•    High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); no prior experience or training.

Language Skills
•    Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
•    Ability to write in simple correspondence.  
•    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
•    Ability to read blueprints.

Math Skills
•    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  

Reasoning Skills
•    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.  
•    Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer/ Office Skills
•    Laser and Graphics Software
•    Basic windows/internet browser
•    ERP/Inventory
•    Microsoft Office – Excel, Word
•    Typing
•    Will be required to obtain Basic Blueprint Reading certification
