Join our team as Digital Media Coordinator!
The Community Engagement (CE) group at the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI) is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator to join their team. The Digital Media Coordinator will manage our overall digital presence including posting to our social platforms daily to create more visibility for the Community Engagement programs; help write and disseminate reports, policy briefs, newsletters, and flyers; manage and organize virtual and in-person events; engage our partners including community members and partners; provide administrative support for our team. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, technological proficiency, excellent communication skills, marketing and PR knowledge, creativity and innovativeness, and the ability to work successfully with diverse people across various groups and organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Presence and Social Media
Develop and maintain our social media presence across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn.
Provide guidance on social media strategy.
Track and analyze online engagement data to inform our digital strategy and evaluation process, including selection of platforms.
Participate in live events and create graphics, sample posts, and social media toolkits to support the dissemination of CE resources.
Update VaccinateLA website with most recent scientific and regulatory information.
Contribute to the development of new blogs, videos, case studies, and other resources.
Writing and Dissemination
Develop and disseminate flyers, newsletters to our community members and partners.
Help write and create format for community reports, fact sheets, and policy briefs.
Track news coverage of public health issues in traditional and digital media (e.g., newspapers and blogs) to summarize for the team to help with project direction and planning.
Disseminate reports to community members and partners.
Support media relations by maintaining our press list and pitching occasional stories to local, state, or national news outlets to elevate our research findings.
Manage email listservs.
Meeting and Event Organizing
Assist with planning and implementing virtual and in-person events.
Assist staff with in-person events.
Coordinate and schedule program-related meetings.
Organize webinars, virtual conferences, and meetings.
Administrative
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Administrative tasks as needed.
Work collaboratively with entire Community Engagement team.
Ideal Candidate will have:
Deep knowledge of and experience with social media marketing and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask, collaborate, and prioritize
Knowledge of marketing and PR principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with website development and HTML
Proficiency with Illustrator / graphic design tools and software
Video creation and editing skills
