Tenured or Tenure-Track Associate Professor

We are seeking faculty members with strong research programs in auditory and/or vestibular research. Areas of investigation include, but are not limited to, the hair cell and auditory/vestibular nerve physiology, inner ear development and regeneration, otoacoustic emissions, mathematical modeling to better understand auditory function, cochlear implant and auditory brainstem implant outcomes, and hearing aid/cochlear implant sound processing strategies. This search is open to a wide range of potential candidates. Either animal research or human subjects research is fine.

The predominant criterion for appointment in a tenured or tenure-track position is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Qualifications for this position are the ability to conduct high-impact, federally-funded independent research. This means that there will be a substantial track record of successful research evidenced by publication and funding history. A PhD or MD degree is required. The successful candidate will be interested in being an active member of a vibrant clinical department and interacting with all sorts of different people, including graduate students, post-docs, residents, other research PIs, and clinicians. In addition, this position will involve the mentorship of junior faculty members and the education of trainees.

“The annual base salary range for this position is $111,756- $147,084.
