Accounting Technician I Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California

The Keck School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks to hire a Full-Time Accounting Technician to join the financial unit.

The incumbent will monitor, reconcile, analyze, and report on budget activity for the Department of Pathology. The incumbent will work closely with Principal Investigators and assist in developing projections in order to authorize or extend financial commitments. In addition, the candidate will assist with budget preparation for grant proposals. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, proficient with Excel, and possess excellent accounting and communication skills. The Accounting Technician will assist in processing department orders, check requests, reimbursements, payroll, and other budget and business forms. The incumbent is required to ensure confidentiality and control of sensitive information.

The Keck School of Medicine Department of Pathology is one of the largest pathology departments in the United States. The Department aims to shape the future of pathology as it will be practiced in community hospitals, academic medical centers, and clinical laboratories throughout the country.

The University offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Salary Range: $23.00+ DOE

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Monday thru Friday

Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Related bookkeeping/accounting experience. Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting practices and principles. Ability to use a variety of bookkeeping/accounting software applications such as databases, spreadsheets, etc, as required.
