Job Description
Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy -- Instructional- Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry Faculty Los Angeles, California

The Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy (USC Chan) is seeking candidates for a full-time, 12-months per year, RTPC faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy. In this role, you will be joining the premier program of OS/OT and becoming a member the University of Southern California "Trojan Family."


The successful applicant will contribute to the vibrant research, service, and teaching missions of USC Chan. Responsibilities will include management of projects within the Innovations in Neurodevelopmental Sensory Processing Research (insp!re) lab. This will include administrative oversight and coordination of project functions including supervision of staff and students, and delegation of tasks such as recruitment, consenting, and scheduling of families with infants or children with autism or other developmental needs, IRB oversight, leadership of lab meetings and project management application (e.g., Basecamp), and liaising with investigators across sites. This person will also be responsible for development of orientation, training, and project materials.


This person will have a vital role in our teaching mission including course instruction, mentoring of graduate students in research projects, fieldwork, and doctoral capstone experiences. Scholarship opportunities include participation in grant writing, publications, and presentations.


Applicants must hold an OTD degree and be eligible for California licensure as an Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to research/team science, especially as related to populations of infants at risk for ASD or other neurodevelopmental conditions. Strong organizational, management, and communication skills are essential. Experience with project management, IRB, and scholarly works is desirable.


Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
