The Opportunity

The Facility Technician based at the Aragonite facility performs hands-on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations and offloading vans, forklift duties, and required paperwork for waste tracking/regulatory purposes. This position is a physically demanding position and works under potentially adverse conditions such as heat or cold year around. The Aragonite Facility is located off of Exit 56 on I-80(W) headed toward Wendover. We offer a free Company-provided shuttle service that will transport employees to the facility from the surrounding areas: Grantsville, Tooele, and West Valley. We are searching for a reliable and safety-oriented individual to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Perform hands-on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations and offloading vans;
  • Perform drum storage, repacks, and use of drum scanner;
  • Operate a forklift when needed;
  • Complete required paperwork for waste tracking movement;
  • Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • 6+ months related work experience;
  • Ability to work a rotating shift as needed (may include nights and weekends);
  • Ability to work in adverse environments (cold/heat);
  • Forklift and/or DOT training preferred.
